Because the challenge escalates across ten distinct levels, adapting your weapon choice level by level tends to matter more than sticking with a single favorite throughout.

It's worth experimenting with different weapon swaps against each new level's Mice People variety, since a weapon that worked well on an earlier level may not be the most efficient choice against a later, tougher wave. Reacting to enemy density with quick swaps — favoring wide-coverage weapons against groups and precision weapons against tougher individual foes — also tends to improve survival through the full ten-level gauntlet.
